"description": "<h1>6D ATR-2 Helmet: Safety Is In the Science</h1>\n<p>6D is widely credited for being the first of its kind bringing the most evolutionary full-face motorcycle helmet to the market. The blueprints of the 6D ATR-2 Helmet are derived from years of testing and scientific research, including teaming up with the NFL for the Head Health Challenge III. This study took place over the course of four years analyzing several different rigors that an athlete’s head may sustain during impact. Using real-time data and the research behind human brain function, the development of their upper echelon, proprietary Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology is re-introduced as the pinnacle of rider safety.</p> \n<h2>Leveling Up, Reinvented</h2>\n<p>The O.G. of the ATR series, the ATR-1, has been remastered. Raise the curtain: ATR-2. It is far more than just a new colorway or design, 6D introduces the next level in their quest for optimal brain protection. The ATR-2 consists of an all-new, rebuildable model with an advanced ODS framework that takes energy mitigation to new heights. 6D has studied the nature of energy and knows there is a lot more to an impact than harsh, linear force. From angular to slow to high-speed impacts, the common denominator is time-to-peak (TTP), which is the time it takes for the energy to reach its maximum impact. The ODS framework absorbs energy and dissipates the force, increasing the TTP. The result: added time, mitigated energy, and hopefully less injury. Much like the ATR-1, the new ATR-2 brings a refined mitigation system allowing for a more fluid energy response. The construction is more dynamic as well with each piece of the system working independently from one another. This not only enhances the force mitigation but also gives the ability for components to be repaired or replaced separately, extending the life of the helmet and investment to the rider.</p> \n<p>With the advancement of the ODS technology, 6D engineering delivers a lid with innovation that far exceeds that of the competition. The ATR-1 brought a level of safety to the helmet game that wasn’t yet met. Now, the advanced ODS framework that was derived from the O.G. ATR-1 came to be from years of research and partnerships with outside organizations studying brain preservation and injury, most notably with the NFL. By analyzing linear and angular impacts to the head, the ATR-2 was redesigned with dynamic functionality, further mitigating force load to the head. Enter the patented Omni-Directional System (ODS) technology. This new technology gives 6D-egrees of freedom for the head to move inside the helmet when dealt linear or angular force. In layman's terms, you can hit your head and the force will be directed elsewhere rather than focused at the point of impact. The ODS technology consists of many moving parts, from the inner liner to the outer shell and everything in between. This allows each liner to remain in a dynamic state. These uniquely shaped devices work as multi-directional springs allowing independent movement of each EPS shell. The blueprints of the 6D ATR-2 Helmet are derived from years of testing and scientific research, including teaming up with the NFL for the Head Health Challenge III. This study took place over the course of four years analyzing several different rigors that an athlete’s head may sustain during impact. Energy displacement from low, intermediate, or high impact scenarios is key to brain safety and athlete longevity. 6D understands the importance of head protection and cut no corners when developing the ATR series helmets. Using real-time data and the research behind human brain function, the development of their upper echelon, proprietary Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology is re-introduced as the pinnacle of rider safety.</p> <h2>Leveling Up, Reinvented</h2> <p>The O.G. of the ATR series, the ATR-1, has been remastered. Raise the curtain: ATR-2. It is far more than just a new colorway or design, 6D introduces the next level in their quest for optimal brain protection. The ATR-2 consists of an all-new, rebuildable model with an advanced ODS framework that takes energy mitigation to new heights. 6D has studied the nature of energy and knows there is a lot more to an impact than harsh, linear force. From angular to slow to high-speed impacts, the common denominator is time-to-peak (TTP), which is the time it takes for the energy to reach its maximum impact. The ODS framework absorbs energy and dissipates the force, increasing the TTP. The result: added time, mitigated energy, and hopefully less injury. Much like the ATR-1, the new ATR-2 brings a refined mitigation system allowing for a more fluid energy response. The construction is more dynamic as well with each piece of the system working independently from one another. This not only enhances the force mitigation but also gives the ability for components to be repaired or replaced separately, extending the life of the helmet and investment to the rider.</p> <p>With the advancement of the ODS technology, 6D engineering delivers a lid with innovation that far exceeds that of the competition. This study took place over the course of four years analyzing several different rigors that an athlete’s head may sustain during impact. Energy displacement from low, intermediate, or high impact scenarios is key to brain safety and athlete longevity. 6D understands the importance of head protection and cut no corners when developing the ATR series helmets. Using real-time data and the research behind human brain function, the development of their upper echelon, proprietary Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology is re-introduced as the pinnacle of rider safety.</p> <h2>Leveling Up, Reinvented</h2> <p>The O.G. of the ATR series, the ATR-1, has been remastered. Raise the curtain: ATR-2. It is far more than just a new colorway or design, 6D introduces the next level in their quest for optimal brain protection. The ATR-2 consists of an all-new, rebuildable model with an advanced ODS framework that takes energy mitigation to new heights. 6D has studied the nature of energy and knows there is a lot more to an impact than harsh, linear force. From angular to slow to high-speed impacts, the common denominator is time-to-peak (TTP), which is the time it takes for the energy to reach its maximum impact. The ODS framework absorbs energy and dissipates the force, increasing the TTP. The result: added time, mitigated energy, and hopefully less injury. Much like the ATR-1, the new ATR-2 brings a refined mitigation system allowing for a more fluid energy response. The construction is more dynamic as well with each piece of the system working independently from one another. This not only enhances the force mitigation but also gives the ability for components to be repaired or replaced separately, extending the life of the helmet and investment to the rider.</p> <p>With the advancement of the ODS technology, 6D engineering delivers a lid with innovation that far exceeds that of the competition. The ATR-1 brought a level of safety to the helmet game that wasn’t yet met. Now, the advanced ODS framework that was derived from the O.G. ATR-1 came to be from years of research and partnerships with outside organizations studying brain preservation and injury, most notably with the NFL. By analyzing linear and angular impacts to the head, the ATR-2 was redesigned with dynamic functionality, further mitigating force load to the head. Rider safety is paramount to 6D’s mission of creating the safest off-road helmet out there. By leveling up their game and tapping into various resources, they’ve been able to amplify the ODS, accomplishing the goal of energy absorption over more time. The ATR-2 consists of an all-new, rebuildable model with an advanced ODS framework that takes energy mitigation to new heights. 6D has studied the nature of energy and knows there is a lot more to an impact than harsh, linear force. From angular to slow to high-speed impacts, the common denominator is time-to-peak (TTP), which is the time it takes for the energy to reach its maximum impact. The ODS framework absorbs energy and dissipates the force, increasing the TTP. The result: added time, mitigated energy, and hopefully less injury. Much like the ATR-1, the new ATR-2 brings a refined mitigation system allowing for a more fluid energy response. The construction is more dynamic as well with each piece of the system working independently from one another. Enter the patented Omni-Directional System (ODS) technology. This new technology gives 6D-egrees of freedom for the head to move inside the helmet when dealt linear or angular force. "description": "<h1>6D ATR-2 Helmet: Safety Is In the Science</h1> <p>6D is widely credited for being the first of its kind bringing the most evolutionary full-face motorcycle helmet to the market. The blueprints of the 6D ATR-2 Helmet are derived from years of testing and scientific research, including teaming up with the NFL for the Head Health Challenge III. This study took place over the course of four years analyzing several different rigors that an athlete’s head may sustain during impact. Energy displacement from low, intermediate, or high impact scenarios is key to brain safety and athlete longevity. 6D understands the importance of head protection and cut no corners when developing the ATR series helmets. Using real-time data and the research behind human brain function, the development of their upper echelon, proprietary Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology is re-introduced as the pinnacle of rider safety.</p> <h2>Leveling Up, Reinvented</h2> <p>The O.G. of the ATR series, the ATR-1, has been remastered. Raise the curtain: ATR-2. It is far more than just a new colorway or design, 6D introduces the next level in their quest for optimal brain protection. The ATR-2 consists of an all-new, rebuildable model with an advanced ODS framework that takes energy mitigation to new heights. 6D has studied the nature of energy and knows there is a lot more to an impact than harsh, linear force. From angular to slow to high-speed impacts, the common denominator is time-to-peak (TTP), which is the time it takes for the energy to reach its maximum impact. The ODS framework absorbs energy and dissipates the force, increasing the TTP. The result: added time, mitigated energy, and hopefully less injury. Much like the ATR-1, the new ATR-2 brings a refined mitigation system allowing for a more fluid energy response. The construction is more dynamic as well with each piece of the system working independently from one another. This not only enhances the force mitigation but also gives the ability for components to be repaired or replaced separately, extending the life of the helmet and investment to the rider.</p> <p>With the advancement of the ODS technology, 6D engineering delivers a lid with innovation that far exceeds that of the competition. The ATR-1 brought a level of safety to the helmet game that wasn’t yet met. Now, the advanced ODS framework that was derived from the O.G. ATR-1 came to be from years of research and partnerships with outside organizations studying brain preservation and injury, most notably with the NFL. By analyzing linear and angular impacts to the head, the ATR-2 was redesigned with dynamic functionality, further mitigating force load to the head. Rider safety is paramount to 6D’s mission of creating the safest off-road helmet out there. By leveling up their game and tapping into various resources, they’ve been able to amplify the ODS, accomplishing the goal of energy absorption over more time. "description": "<h1>6D ATR-2 Helmet: Safety Is In the Science</h1> <p>6D is widely credited for being the first of its kind bringing the most evolutionary full-face motorcycle helmet to the market. This study took place over the course of four years analyzing several different rigors that an athlete’s head may sustain during impact. Using real-time data and the research behind human brain function, the development of their upper echelon, proprietary Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology is re-introduced as the pinnacle of rider safety.</p> <h2>Leveling Up, Reinvented</h2> <p>The O.G. of the ATR series, the ATR-1, has been remastered. Raise the curtain: ATR-2. It is far more than just a new colorway or design, 6D introduces the next level in their quest for optimal brain protection. The ATR-2 consists of an all-new, rebuildable model with an advanced ODS framework that takes energy mitigation to new heights. 6D has studied the nature of energy and knows there is a lot more to an impact than harsh, linear force. From angular to slow to high-speed impacts, the common denominator is time-to-peak (TTP), which is the time it takes for the energy to reach its maximum impact. The ODS framework absorbs energy and dissipates the force, increasing the TTP. The result: added time, mitigated energy, and hopefully less injury. Much like the ATR-1, the new ATR-2 brings a refined mitigation system allowing for a more fluid energy response. The construction is more dynamic as well with each piece of the system working independently from one another. This not only enhances the force mitigation but also gives the ability for components to be repaired or replaced separately, extending the life of the helmet and investment to the rider.</p> <p>With the advancement of the ODS technology, 6D engineering delivers a lid with innovation that far exceeds that of the competition. The ATR-1 brought a level of safety to the helmet game that wasn’t yet met. Now, the advanced ODS framework that was derived from the O.G. ATR-1 came to be from years of research and partnerships with outside organizations studying brain preservation and injury, most notably with the NFL. By analyzing linear and angular impacts to the head, the ATR-2 was redesigned with dynamic functionality, further mitigating force load to the head. "description": "<h1>6D ATR-2 Helmet: Safety Is In the Science</h1> <p>6D is widely credited for being the first of its kind bringing the most evolutionary full-face motorcycle helmet to the market. Using real-time data and the research behind human brain function, the development of their upper echelon, proprietary Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology is re-introduced as the pinnacle of rider safety.</p> <h2>Leveling Up, Reinvented</h2> <p>The O.G. of the ATR series, the ATR-1, has been remastered. Raise the curtain: ATR-2. It is far more than just a new colorway or design, 6D introduces the next level in their quest for optimal brain protection. The ATR-2 consists of an all-new, rebuildable model with an advanced ODS framework that takes energy mitigation to new heights. 6D has studied the nature of energy and knows there is a lot more to an impact than harsh, linear force. From angular to slow to high-speed impacts, the common denominator is time-to-peak (TTP), which is the time it takes for the energy to reach its maximum impact. The ODS framework absorbs energy and dissipates the force, increasing the TTP. The result: added time, mitigated energy, and hopefully less injury. Much like the ATR-1, the new ATR-2 brings a refined mitigation system allowing for a more fluid energy response. The construction is more dynamic as well with each piece of the system working independently from one another. This not only enhances the force mitigation but also gives the ability for components to be repaired or replaced separately, extending the life of the helmet and investment to the rider.</p> <p>With the advancement of the ODS technology, 6D engineering delivers a lid with innovation that far exceeds that of the competition. The ATR-1 brought a level of safety to the helmet game that wasn’t yet met. Now, the advanced ODS framework that was derived from the O.G. ATR-1 came to be from years of research and partnerships with outside organizations studying brain preservation and injury, most notably with the NFL. By analyzing linear and angular impacts to the head, the ATR-2 was redesigned with dynamic functionality, further mitigating force load to the head. Rider safety is paramount to 6D’s mission of creating the safest off-road helmet out there. By leveling up their game and tapping into various resources, they’ve been able to amplify the ODS, accomplishing the goal of energy absorption over more time.
