It features a range of technologies and innovations from Alpinestars' adult helmets to deliver the optimal blend of performance, protection, and comfort.

Key Features

• This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special polymer blend enhanced by varying thicknesses for optimal impact protection and light weight.
• The outer shell is constructed from advanced impact-resistant thermoplastic, available in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium, and Youth Large). The SM3 Youth weighs 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT).
• Separate versions of the shells for DOT and ECE requirements; the DOT version includes a composite fiber between the outer shell and the EPS liner for maximum impact protection.
• The fit can be tailored with crown and cheek pads available as spare parts in different thicknesses. YM and YL sizes share the same EPS size, allowing for growth adjustment; YS has a smaller EPS size and only adjusts via cheek pads.
• The helmet includes a multiple density inner liner for enhanced impact absorption and reduced weight.
• Engineered surfaces minimize oblique impact effects, with a patented low friction coating to reduce rotational acceleration forces.
• Maximized ventilation with 10 inlets and seven exhaust ports, and a visor designed to direct air for enhanced airflow.
• The patented visor release system reduces neck forces during impacts, and the comfort liner is made from recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint.
• Hydration tube channels are integrated into the cheek pads for convenience, and the soft textile chin strap is 25mm for optimal safety and comfort.

Protection

• Alpinestars new safety standard tests the helmets chin under heavier conditions than the homologation standard, with optimized shell thickness and design for superior impact performance.
• Equipped with an Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads for safe and easy removal while the helmet is still on, with 3D contoured foam for rider comfort.
• Stainless steel D-rings ensure a secure fit, and the helmet conforms to both DOT certification and ECE 2206 homologation for global use.
