The Schuberth E2 has a number of features that I have come to really enjoy such as the integrated communication unit which I will review separately but the ease of assembly into the E2 is the best I’ve ever experienced.
The integrated sun shield means that I no longer have to decide on a smoked or mirrored shield and hope I don’t get caught out late and drive in the dark. The peak visor and face shield are easy to operate and remove with no tools. The face shield is a pinlock out of the box and with the deep neck roll it is the quietest helmet I’ve worn even with the peak visor. Speaking of which yes, there is some neck pull in high cross winds but totally manageable and at its lowest position offers good sun protection riding into a setting sun. The visor stays where you put it when you raise and lower the front and so far, ventilation seems to be good but we haven’t gotten really hot weather yet.
Overall, I have no regrets buying the Schuberth E2 and will always look to this brand and modular helmets in general should it ever need to be replaced but with a 5 year warranty I don’t envision that being anytime soon.”
